Daniel and the Christmas Moose

We were taking Christmas card pictures of my grandson here in the family room and gave him a couple of things to hold.  As anyone who’s tried to catch a 16 month old next to the first Christmas tree he’s ever seen in a pose knows; you just go with the flow and fire away when you think he’s going to hold still.  Daniel was very taken by the Christmas moose and spent a minute contemplating the implications of a moose pulling Santa’s sleigh. The rocking chair belonged to his great-grandmother and is close to 100 years old.  My wife painted the Santa behind Daniel; he stands guard beside the tree every year ‘til the real thing comes down the chimney.
